Amwell & Co quietly sets up and looks after the practical tools that answer your enquiries, keep your diary and see to the paperwork, so you never have to think about any of it.
Behind the counter of every good shop is a pile of small jobs that eat the day
Bookings & the diary
Appointments taken, confirmed and gently reminded, without you ever picking up the phone.
Enquiries & follow-ups
Every call and message answered promptly and politely, even when the shop is full.
Reviews & reputation
Happy customers invited to say so at the right moment, and every review answered with care.
Admin & the boring bits
Invoices, forms, reminders and simple marketing, tidied away in the background where they belong.
Regulars, remembered
Who’s due a follow-up, who asked to be told when it’s back in, whose order is ready: kept for you, so every regular is greeted like one.
How the shop is doing
A short note each week: the takings, what’s selling, what needs chasing, so Monday starts with answers instead of homework.
How it works
1 We listen
We visit, sit down with you, and learn how your week actually runs: what slows you down and what matters most.
2 We set it up
We put the right tools in place behind the scenes, and the shop trades as normal throughout. Nothing for you to install or learn.
3 We look after it
We keep everything in good order, make adjustments as your business changes, and stay one phone call away. You’ll simply notice fewer interruptions.
A hallmark is a small stamp on silver that says someone stands behind the work
1 Chosen carefully
We automate the routine only: bookings, reminders, paperwork. Anything personal or delicate stays with a person.
2 Briefed properly
Each tool is set up with your tone, your prices and your rules, the way you’d train a new member of staff.
3 Checked, always
Every reply we draft and every invoice is checked before it goes. The instant answers use only wording you have already approved.
4 Watched over
We look in every month, put small drifts right early, and always tell you what is automated and what isn’t.
The owner’s hour
If you’d like to understand it yourself, we’ll sit down and explain how it all works.

The owner’s hour
£350 one-off
Ninety minutes at your counter, over tea. By the end you’ll know what the tools in your shop do, what they can and cannot be trusted with, and how to stay in charge of them. You leave with the house card: the four habits on one side, who to call on the other.
Included with the full fit-out and the signature service, and credited in full if you go on to either.
No long contracts and no tie-ins. The signature fee covers the fit-out and the year’s four visits; the £295 a month is the day-to-day minding, and it stays only because it helps. Give us a month’s notice if it doesn’t.
Questions
Do I need to understand any of this?
No. That’s rather the point. We explain what we’re setting up in plain English, once, and then it simply works. If you ever want the detail, we’re happy to talk you through it.
Is my customers’ information safe?
Yes. We only use established, reputable tools that meet UK data protection rules, we set them up carefully, and nothing is ever sold or shared. If you’d like to know exactly where anything lives, ask: you’ll get a straight answer.
What if I already use some tools?
Then we start there. We keep what’s working, tidy what isn’t, and only add something new when it genuinely earns its place. You won’t be asked to throw anything out for the sake of it.
Which businesses do you work with?
Cafés, boutiques, salons, studios and independent shops: the high-street businesses of central London. If you’re not sure you fit, write to us anyway; if we’re not right for you, we’ll say so.
Will my customers end up talking to a robot?
Never unannounced, and never for anything that matters. The simple things are answered instantly and accurately: a booking confirmed, a question about opening hours. Anything that isn’t routine comes straight to a person. We’re open about what’s automated, and we’d rather lose a minute than a customer’s trust.
How do we start?
Write to [email protected] or arrange a visit. We’ll come to you, listen properly, and follow up with a short, plain proposal. No obligation, and no hard feelings if the timing isn’t right.
